TAX FAIRNESS MEETING, Tuesday June 16th.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

NEWS ALERT

TAX FAIRNESS MEETING

There will be a public meeting for tax reform on Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 at the Marlboro High School Auditorium, Western Ave., Marlboro at 7:00 PM.

The purpose of this meeting is to rally support for legislation to be enacted to fix the broken process of assessing that currently exists.

Come, listen and learn.  John DeMarco will present his findings on the inequities that are causing the Marlboro taxpayers to pay a higher portion of the Marlboro School District taxes than they should.

Richard Gerentine and Dr. Anthony Pascale will also discuss the group’s findings and efforts over the past year. A letter to our state representatives will be made available for taxpayers to sign, requesting legislative fixes for the negative impacts that the current process contains.

This will be a gathering in an informal setting where taxpayers should feel comfortable asking questions.  All are welcome to attend to discuss this very serious issue.

Sincerely,

Richard A. Gerentine
John DeMarco
Dr. Anthony Pascale
